In the Author-Owned model, rights, final files and usage permissions are defined clearly in the agreement and remain with the author to the broadest practical extent. Platform terms and third-party licences still apply.
Whose name is the Amazon account in?
Where suitable, the account is opened in the author’s or rights holder’s name; we support setup and uploads transparently. Tax and payment details belong to the account holder.
Do I earn 70% on every eBook sale?
No. The 70% option depends on territory, price band, rights and other conditions; delivery cost and tax may be deducted. Non-eligible sales may use 35%.
How is print-book income calculated?
For standard distribution, 50% or 60% is applied to the tax-exclusive list price and printing cost is deducted. Expanded Distribution may use a different rate.
How is this different from a traditional publisher?
Traditional publishing usually places investment and commercial risk with the publisher; in exchange for selective acquisition and contracted royalties, control may be more limited. Our primary model is author-funded professional production with more control over account, files, price and platform income.
Do you guarantee sales?
No. We provide professional production, a transparent process and publishing infrastructure; we do not guarantee sales, ranking, reviews or press coverage.
